Don't Look Back
A New Year = a new resolution to start up the blog. # 63 on the list of resolutions for 2006. If you're looking for a recap of 2005 don't bother. 2005 sucked for a whole lot of reasons. I'm glad I made it thru without doing anything too stupid or upsetting too many people. Tempting as it was.
The New Year got off to a lively start with ohhh ..... 30 + of my closest relatives and family friends over for the typical small intimate Japanese New Years gathering. Due to severe overcrowding I chose to spend most of the evening in the back room sharing the joys of 4 player X-men gaming. Iceman rules.
Before the festivities even began there was a major crisis that began around noon when I was in the shower and noticed the drain stopping and little brown sato imo (taro root) peelings filling up the tub. Not to mention the kitchen sink backing up, and both toilets simultaneously. Fun times. 30 minutes of snaking solved the problem and negated the possibility of sending guests to the park to take a piss or worse yet calling a plumber and paying holiday rates.
